Optical coatings are now used for a great many applications in both industrial and domestic spheres. These start with anti-reflective coatings in camera lenses or displays and continue with cold mirror reflectors in the medical environment, projectors and special colour filters in events technology and industrial metrology up to maximum-reflection mirrors for lasers, special mirrors for UV applications or in the solar energy industry. Many such coatings are also found in daily life under the umbrella term “finishing" for optical components in smartphones, CD/DVD/BluRay players or beamers.
As a service-provider for high-quality coatings, we offer you the complete process chain: from initial consultation and design of the ideal solution, to design of the optical component(s) to design and coating of the substrate to suit production requirements. Regardless of the coating service, you can also benefit from our extensive metrological services.
S1 Optics GmbH develops and produces optical coatings. It was set up in 2001 to supply the IST METZ group. Since 2005, S1 Optics has been supplying the market as a development service-provider and producer of functional optical coatings. The products are used in industrial applications, in metrology, in laser applications or in medical technology.
