International Trade Fair for optical technologies, components and systems
The 14th OPTATEC will bring together international suppliers and users of industrial optics at Messe Frankfurt (Frankfurt’s trade fair centre) from 15th to 17th May 2018. Come and see us!

The successful history of OPTATEC has been characterized for over 20 years by a unique mix of presentation which is both familiar to and appropriate for the industry, practical focus on the sector and an internationally-recognized platform for information, communication and purchase for hardware and software for the application of optical technologies. In a tried and tested two-yearly cycle, respected market leaders from all over the world, as well as young up-and-coming companies in the industry, present their product range along with a real firework display of new products and innovations, which are presented to the public or even given their world première at OPTATEC.
A high-quality support programme completes the OPTATEC experience
A high-quality support programme provides valuable additional benefit to both exhibitors and visitors to OPTATEC. These include the EOS Symposium, the analysts’ conference hosted by SPECTARIS and the tried and tested exhibitor forum which accompanies the trade fair and provides the trade public with a more in-depth look at new products and technologies. In 2010, over 30 lectures with a practical focus, delivered by experts from among the OPTATEC exhibitors, were on the programme. The exhibitor forum is also the location for the now traditional CEO Round Table, which is always followed with great interest. The “Education and Science” theme park, introduced for the first time in 2010, also got a very positive reception. The support programme for 2018 is already at the planning stage.
